Salesforce Japan recently announced that it will work with Fujitsu, a leader in medical and pharmaceutical data and computing technologies, to create new digital solutions for the healthcare sector in the Japan market.
As the first step of their collaborations, Fujitsu and Salesforce Japan will establish new, transformative digital products for insurance companies and promote the broad use of personalized insurance products in Japan.
The two parties aim to commercialize the new solutions in Fujitsu’s 2023 fiscal year.
What’s the impact: By developing AI solutions that can help predict individual disease risks, Fujitsu and Salesforce will be able to offer prospective policyholders more personalized insurance products. They will also work to create a new insurance model for Japan’s universal health care system based on personal data that covers prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis in a detailed and comprehensive manner.
These personalized insurance-based solutions are designed to help resolve societal and economic issues, including health concerns related to various diseases, increased advanced medical care costs, and the cost of living during retirement.
